Asset Based Finance: Portfolio Construction in a Changing Market Environment
> Where does asset-based finance sit today relative to direct lending, structured credit, and infrastructure debt? Is it still a diversifier?> How have return expectations shifted over the past 12–18 months?
What structural features are now considered essential (e.g., triggers, credit enhancement, collateral controls)?
> What differentiates a strong manager today? How does insurance capital influence negotiation on structures or covenants?
> Is this capital effectively hold-to-maturity, or is there confidence in exit routes?
