DealCatalyst is a technology focused events company operating in the capital markets sector. We convene key market makers through a combination of digital and in person formats including conferences, social networking events and membership programs.

 

We are seeking a sales professional to join our growing US commercial team; the successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue within DealCatalyst’s global portfolio of events, through (but not limited to) event sponsorship - focused on a mix of managing growth of existing accounts as well as new business development. We are looking for a self-motivated individual, capable of building strong relationships with clients to identify opportunities that can be solved by our suite of products.

Principle accountabilities

  • Meet and exceed personal and event-based revenue targets

  • Manage existing client relationships and continuously grow account spend via a consultative sales process

  • Build new relationships with clients and advisors in the market via direct contact with senior-level decision-makers face-to-face and digitally

  • Collaborate with Product and Marketing colleagues to manage and consistently improve the customer experience and customer journey

  • Travel to client and DealCatalyst events will be required

 

Knowledge, experience and Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in B2B sales

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

  • Demonstrable experience of meeting sales targets

  • Consultative/Strategic sales approach with proven experience of building and maintaining new relationships

  • The ability to build relationships with clients both in person and remotely over VC, phone and email

  • Proven experience negotiating with decision maker level clients

  • Experience of negotiating contract terms and working with internal teams – legal, product etc - in an organized manner to get contractual terms finalized

  • Ability to build and manage a sales pipeline. Previous experience using a CRM system - HubSpot preferred

  • Ability to retain and understand industry knowledge in a way that allows you to leverage that to achieve sales

  • Good understanding of data/privacy regulation (including GDPR) an advantage

  • A willingness to work on different time zones both virtually and by travelling internationally

Hours & Compensation

 

This is a full-time position working 40+ hours per week; we offer flexible working arrangements and place a strong emphasis on a good work/life balance.

There will be opportunities for international travel to conferences.
